Curaçao

Playa Lagun: reef, sunsets and very little noise

We're on the quiet west side of the island, about 30 minutes from Hato airport and Willemstad, with the sandy beach just steps from the door.

The beaches nearby

Three of the island's loveliest bays are within a short drive of the bungalow, and the first is at your doorstep.

Playa Lagun

A sheltered sandy cove between two cliffs, calm water, easy entry and space to swim and snorkel. At your doorstep, about a 2-minute walk from the bungalow.

Grote Knip

The postcard beach of Curaçao: a wide white bay with brilliant blue water, a cliff viewpoint and palapas for shade. About 10 minutes' drive (roughly 5 km) from the bungalow.

Playa Piskadó

A small working fishermen's beach where sea turtles gather around the boats, one of the best spots on the island to swim with them. About 15 minutes' drive (roughly 7 km) from the bungalow.

Around Playa Lagun

The bay, the resort's shared grounds and the light at the end of the day.

Diving & snorkelling

Under the surface

The house reef starts at the beach: turtles, stingrays, eels and coral within a few fin kicks. The dive centre on the grounds runs guided dives, introduction dives and full certification courses.

The house reef

One of Curaçao's best shore snorkels starts right off the beach: turtles, stingrays, eels and reef fish, no boat required.

Diving on site

A professional dive centre on the grounds offers guided and introduction dives, SSI and select PADI certification courses, and equipment and snorkel rental.

Diving all year

Curaçao sits outside the Caribbean hurricane belt, so conditions stay good year-round, including child-friendly entry-level experiences.

Two island classics within easy reach of the west coast.

Willemstad

Christoffel Park

The island's largest national park, with hiking trails up Christoffel Mountain, wild orchids and quiet plantation houses. About 15 minutes' drive from the bungalow.

Most evenings you can walk to dinner at the bay, and a few favourite tables are a short drive down the coast.
